Advent Mission Opportunities
Mitten Tree – We invite you to bring new hats, mittens, scarves and socks to be given to our local mission partners to help families in need stay warm this winter. The mitten tree is in the entrance by the children’s wing.
Christmas Memorials — This advent season, you can honor or remember someone special by making a donation to our Deacon’s Fund. The cost is $20 per memorial. Memorials will be included in the Christmas Eve bulletins. Flyers can be found on the table in the lobby.
Food Donations – Throughout December, we will be collecting food for local food banks and homeless shelters. Items needed include boxed mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, soups, peanut butter, and pasta & sauces. Items can be placed in the collection bins in the lobby or outside the church office.
Friday Women’s Bible Study
Begins January 11
Starting January 11, the Friday morning Women's Bible Study will be learning how to study God's word using The Abide Method. Each week we will study a different passage of scripture together using group discussion and inductive study tools to grow in biblical literacy. Proper study of the scriptures will increase our knowledge of God, reveal the truth of who we are in relation to Him and give us the wisdom we need to face struggles, have healthy relationships and make choices in life. Join us as we seek to grow in understanding and community by studying the Bible together. The study will be led by Sarah Desmedt and Becky Keller. For more info or to sign up, email Becky at firstname.lastname@example.org. Childcare is provided. The study meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. All women welcome, ages 18 - 108. Please bring a 1 inch binder and your Bible!
