Adult Christian Discipleship

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” – 2 Peter 3:18

Discipleship speaks to the way we follow Jesus Christ and how his character is formed within us. Through sustained attention to God's Word, we grow in our ability to understand and apply his grace and truth in our lives.  Because this is an ongoing process, we encourage all to:

     (1) read the Bible and pray regularly on your own and

     (2) participate actively in a Bible study, Sunday school class or other group where we can grow together in faithful obedience over time.  This webpage provides an overview of our current adult discipleship opportunities.

Sunday School Classes – 9:45-10:45am

Sojourners Class is held in the Library of the Education Building. This class learns and grows together through discussion of faith-forming Christian books. Currently studying A. W. Tozer’s The Pursuit of God, but you do not have to have read to join in the discussion.

Earnest Workers Class is held in the New Building, Room 112. They are studying the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, covering the life and ministry of Jesus and the first 30 years of the Christian Church. These two books provide the background for most of the other New Testament books.

Elective Sunday School Classes

Pastor’s Class -  Don’s class meets weekly in the Historic Chapel.

Walk Through the Bible, led by Scott and Cindy McCain, is held in the New Building, Room, 111.

Great video Bible study resources are available at no cost through RightNow Media.  Learn More!

Women’s Ministries

At Greenwich there are many opportunities specifically for women to grow in faith and fellowship with one another. Some of the groups included here are designed for Bible Study and character formation for women. Others are simple opportunities to meet and build community or serve with other women. We encourage everyone to find places that fit your schedule and help you to grow.
