Site Style Guide
Text shall be in Verdana 16 with headers in Verdana 20 Bold. If there is need for subheaders they shall be in Verdana 18 Bold. Headers and subheaders shall be in Cap Word Case. UPPERCASE should never be used. Text shall be left justified. Paragraphs shall have one blank line between them.
Pages shall always have a header which will be left justified on the top line of the page. When the page is linked directly from the menu, it shall always be the same as the menu title.
Pictures may be of any size however the standard picture will be300x225. When pictures are combined with text they shall have an Hspace of 15 and a Vspace of 2. Pictures should be left or right justified. Pictures shall not be surrounded by text. There shall be no borders on pictures unless it is a collage or art page.
Videos may be placed on any page. They may be uploaded to the site or may be embedded from another site. If they are not imbedded they should follow the links guidelines. If a caption is used it is helpful to have the length of the video in the caption - example "Welcome to Greenwich (30 sec)" Captions should always be under the video. Since html does not support image captions it is best to put it in a table with no border and add a caption. You will need to go into the html and add align="bottom" to <caption>
Links to pages inside the site shall be standard links. Links to pages external sites shall be pop-up links using a 900x500 page with a top and left position of 40. This will allow the user easy access back to the Greenwich page. At times there may be exceptions to this rule. One exception would be if the external page has a prominent link back to the referring page.
Home Page Sliding Graphics must be 619 x 327 pixels and must be placed in the image/file manager in the images/Sliders folder with the names image1.jpg, image2.jpg, image3.jpg, image4.jpg image5.jpg. There must always be five graphics. Normally these will be pictures but they may be other art work.
Home Page Banners will be along the right side of the page. There will be three banners at all times. The top banner will remain the same (and is controlled by faithHighway.) Banners two and three can be changed as necessary. Banners must be 252x110 pixels and must be evenly aligned along the side of the page. Banners must be placed in the image/file manager in the images/BannersHomePage/InUse folder with the names Banner-Middle.jpg and Banner-Bottom.jpg
Forms are created through FaithHighway's form tool. When linked to a web page they should be brought up as a pop up window which is set to 790 wide. The height can be determined by the length of the form. Left position should be set to 40 and top position should be set to 10. This may be adjusted for the size of the form. Popups should have no location, status, menu or tool bar. The Form Submission Confirmation message should have a statement which says "You may now close this window." It may also have other language if needed. Redirect After Confirmation must be directed to "http://greenwichpres.net/other/closeme.html"
