The Mission Fund for Unplanned Needs

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses..." Acts 1:8

Apart from budgeted giving, a wide range of needs are considered for financial support from The Mission Fund. As needs arise, whether future planned missions or emergency response, the committee gives hands-on, financial, and prayer support to those in need. Due to the ever changing and fluid characteristics of this ministry, specific needs and responses are often not foreseen in advance. Mission Fund $'s in a given year may include, but are not limited to-

Purchase of school supplies for local and foreign students; Food, household supplies, linens, blankets, and small appliances for victims of disaster; Building materials, for construction and repair of churches and homes affected by natural disasters or poverty either domestically or internationally; Prescription medications; Tuition or Scholarships for Youth Mission Trips; Christmas gifts, gloves, mittens and food for families with special needs

Historically, the majority of the money for the Mission Fund has been raised through fundraising events such as: the annual mission yard sale, dinner and silent auction, youth car washes, fundraising letters from youth participating in week long mission trips, sale of t-shirts, crafts, bake sales and a variety of "hands on work" projects.

Donations can be made to the fund "at large" or made to a specific ministry, outreach, mission project or organization. The donation will be used for the donor's requested outreach.
