Mission Highlights- Thanksgiving 2007-

Who receives the greater blessing---those who receive the gift of help when they are in need or those who so willingly and unselfishly give of themselves to help someone in need?

Leaving on Thanksgiving day to drive to Gilbert, West Virginia, a group of Greenwich members went for two days to help Carolyn Jenkins clean and repair her home following a fire. Many different types of work, from installing moldings and a gas line to washing cabinets and dishes, sorting clothing, and cleaning floors and bathrooms, was performed by the Mission team. There were many work supplies to be packed and job site equipment to be loaded before they could leave for home. The Jenkins home also received a blessing ceremony and prayers were offered by the group for the owner.

A heartfelt thank you from Greenwich Church to Greg Aleman, Eric Beckman, Jim Blades, Barry Feldman, Brian Feldman, Diana Feldman, Melinda Holohan, Chris Knoll, Tom Knoll and Daisy Wood. They truly made Thanksgiving a time of “giving”.
