A Mission Explosion, 2007 Summer

What a great month in the life of GPC.  The "Mission Explosion", sort of blindsided me in terms of seeing it coming.  Without a Mission Committee plan for all of these events to come together, God took care of that.  Just a couple  of months ago, we had no idea that all  of these things would play out during about a 30 day period.  Maybe Don saw it coming because he planned a series of sermons about GPC Missions

What a great thing to have Farthest Corners focus with all of Austin's forums, sermons, and contacts with other churches and community leaders, are only a sign of things to come.  To have one of Greenwich's own as a full time missionary, is a testimony to the deep rooted faith  instilled in one who has grown up at Greenwich.  As Austin has returned to the field, please continue to pray for him and those who's lives he touches.

Thanks to all of you who opened your homes, came to forums and continue to show encouragement to this partnership between Greenwich and Farthest Corners.

During the last 60 days, GPC also supported two foreign mission trips taken by those connected to our church and our mission.  Jimmy Bowman was part of a mission team to Brazil.   He is part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Baseball Team, spreading the Gospel through sports.

Jennifer Hazel, another one of Greenwich's own, now living in Arizona, traveled to Africa with other medical professionals to provide health care and healing to hundreds of impoverished people.
