Presbyterian Women: Circle Two

Circle Two meets on the second Thursday of the months September through June in homes of the members at 7:00 PM.The September 2006 meeting will be hosted by Diana Feldman, and her address can be found in the Greenwich directory. Subsequent meetings locations will be posted on this site following the September meeting.

In 2005-2006 our Bible study was "Cultivating Contentment", a continuation of the Women of Faith series.

In addition to participating in Women of the Church activities and projects, Circle 2 members have taken on additional service projects. During the past year, at our meeting we collected diapers and formula for the shelter at SERVE. At Christmas time we adopted two underprivileged children at Yorkshire Elementary School and provided items on their Christmas “wish list.” Through The Christian Children’s Fund we also support a young girl in Ecuador. We donated money raised from the cookie baking project to Greenwich missions to be used for the West Virginia and local mission projects.

An additional mission project is supporting Farthest Corners, a foundation that provides humanitarian aid in Asia. The group donated a homemade quilt and assisted with the sale of raffle tickets to raise money for the foundation.

We are actively seeking new members. While many of our members are employed; others work part-time or are retired. We have mothers of young children and grandmothers in our group; all are welcome.
