“That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”  Romans 10:9-10

Breast Cancer Walk — The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a series of 3-day, 60-mile walks held in 14 cities across the United States to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust.  Both organizations are dedicated to the treatment and cure of breast cancer.

This year, the walk returns to Washington, DC, on October 3-5.  The team, “Greenwich for the Girls,” will be a part of that walk.  Our Captain, Susan Polk, Leslie McMillan, and Chasity Spittle, invite you to join them. Yes, we are asking you to walk 20 miles a day for 3 days and to raise $2,200!

If you register by April 11th and join the team, you will save $35.00 on the registration fee of $90.00.  Use the promotional code TEAMS when registering on line at www.the3day.org, or by phone at 800-996-3DAY.

So you don’t want to walk?  Check the web site for crew or volunteer opportunities.  As the time grows closer to the walk date, cheering station locations will be announced.  These addresses will be listed in the bulletin so you can come out to support the walkers.  You also have the opportunity to donate to The Breast Cancer 3 Day either on the web site under the name of one of the walkers, or by check.
