Our youth are preparing Easter Baskets for those in our congregation who are not always able to make it to church services.  We will prepare 15 baskets.  If you would like to donate items for these baskets, you can drop them off in the office before Sunday, March 16th.

During the month of March, all food donated to serve will be matched pound for pound.  Last year the Alan Feinstein Challenge raised $148 million.

 

You can also make monetary donations.  Write the checks out to SERVE, and “Feinstein Challenge” in the memo line.

Talent Show — Greenwich has talent! And our annual talent show is the place to show it off.  This years show will take place on Saturday, March 29th, at 6:00pm.  The youth will be selling hotdogs, popcorn, candy and drinks.  If you’d like to present an “act,” please contact Beth Galbraith at 703.753.4099.

 

SERVE — Our March mission partner is SERVE.  They will accept all items, but are in particular need of the following items:  cold cereal, spaghetti pasta, spaghetti sauce, and canned meats such as tuna, chicken and spam.

 

Farthest Corners Thai Dinner — Join us for our 2nd Annual Thai Dinner to benefit Farthest Corners.  Saturday, April 12th, at 6:00pm at the Inn at Vint Hill.  The cost is $35 per person.  Great items are available in the Silent Auction, and Angela Knight will be performing.  Childcare will be offered for ages birth thru 5th grade here at Greenwich.  Tickets are being sold in the Fellowship Hall following each worship service today, or see Duane Mohr, Mike Simms, Leslie McMillan, Charlie Coe, Lisa House, Becky Whitelock or Mike Lynn.  Questions?  Call 540.347.7819.

 

Easter Breakfast — We have a few opportunities to help out with the breakfast on Easter morning.  If interested, contact Paula Cooper at volunteers@greenwichpres.org or 703.754.7933.

VBS Planning Meeting — Join us on Sunday, April 13th, at 12:30pm, as we begin planning this year’s Vacation Bible School.  For more information, contact Joy Yates at children@greenwichpres.org or 703.754.7933.

 

SERVE—Alan Feinstein Challenge — Each year during the month of March, donations to SERVE are matched pound for pound during the Alan Feinstein Challenge.  Last year, the challenge raised $148 million nationwide.  We will be collecting for SERVE throughout the month of March (place food in the shopping cart in the education building).  You can also make monetary donations to SERVE.  Write the checks out to SERVE, and Feinstein Challenge in the memo line.

 

Walk for Life — Help CareNet Pregnancy Resource Centers leave a legacy of life by joining the Annual Walk for Life on Saturday, April 26th.  There are four walk locations for your convenience.  Join the fun and bring the entire family.  Questions? Contact Penny at CareNet at 540.720.0691.
