“The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.  He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.”  Psalm 103:8-14

February 3, 2008

This past year has been exciting and eventful for the life of our church – one which has seen us continue to move forward in our commitment to growth and ministry.  Two significant decisions we made as a congregation in 2007 were the calling of Eric Beckman as our Associate Pastor, and the commitment to move forward with our building expansion program.  Both of these decisions naturally will have an impact upon the financial stewardship of our church.

In response to these congregational actions, the Session approved a Ministry Budget for 2008 totaling $593,840, which represents a substantial increase over our 2007 budget which stood at $535,600.  Based on the generous giving in previous years, the Session believes we as a church family can meet this budget.

Ministry Budget                                     2007                                       2008

        Personnel                                   $318,781                               $353,420

Total                                                    $535,600                              $593,840

This Sunday, February 3, we invite you to attend our Commitment Sunday worship services, as together we renew our commitment to God and the work done in his name, both here and to the farthest corners of the world.
