Opportunities for Study, Service and Fellowship
Special Music —This Sunday members of the
Woodbridge Flute Choir will be playing at the 11:00 service. We welcome
Laura Breese, Angela Brightman, Rebecca Hartong, Mary Jane Heater, Barbara
Neal, Michelle Rexrode, Lori Stewart, Jim Waterman, and Debbie Gilbert,
director.
Children’s Christmas Pageant —
Rehearsals for this year’s Faith Village Chorale Christmas Pageant are Sunday
mornings from 9:00 to 9:30am in the choir room.
Chancel Choir Christmas Program — The
Chancel Choir will present their annual Christmas Concert, accompanied by
strings and brass on Sunday, December 16th, at 8:30 (note time change) and
11:00am. There will be no 9:30 service or Sunday School this day so that
we can gather for an Open House style “Come and Go” Breakfast Potluck.
Everyone is invited to bring their favorite “ready to eat” hot dish to share
during this time of morning fellowship.
Open House at the Meeks’ — The whole
church family is invited! Sunday, December 16th from 1:00 to
4:00pm. Come when you can and leave when you must. Please see the
bulletin insert for more information and directions.
Greenwich Christmas Bazaar — Join us
this Sunday as the Women of the Church, Farthest Corners, and our Youth Group
present a Greenwich Christmas Bazaar. They’ll be selling cookbooks,
Christmas ornaments, Christmas cookies, and items made by Burmese
refugees. The bazaar will take place between all three services.
Faith Village Chorale — The Faith
Village Chorale children’s choir will present their Christmas Pageant at the
5:30pm service on Christmas Eve.
No Jr. Church Sunday— There will be no Jr. Church on Sunday, December 9th or
December 16th. Wee Church will continue on both days.
Youth Christmas Party! — Join us at the Kinser’s home on Thursday, December 13th, at
6:30pm. All Jr. and Sr. Highs are welcome! Questions? Contact

Mitten Tree – The
Mitten Tree is up! We are collecting mittens, scarves, gloves or
socks. The donated items will be given to SERVE and the Fauquier Family
Shelter.
Angel Tree Gifts and Stockings Distribution — We could use your help to work with the DC Salvation Army to distribute
Angel Tree gifts and stockings to the inner city families on December
17-19. This will be done at
Woodbridge Flute Choir in Concert — Start your Christmas season on a merry note! Join us for a

ensemble. The flute choir will be joined by Angela Knight, lyric soprano,
and David Crookston, harpist. Sunday, December 16th, at 4:00pm here at
Poinsettia Memorial — This
Advent Season, you can honor or remember someone special by placing a
poinsettia in the sanctuary. If you wish to participate, please fill out
the enclosed insert and return it with a payment to the offering plate.
The cost per poinsettia is $15.00. Deadline is TODAY.
Birthday Party for Jesus — Please join us in Fellowship Hall after the 5:30pm service on Christmas
Eve as we celebrate the birthday of Christ. You can bring donations of
baby gifts, i.e., clothing, diapers, etc. These will be given to
CareNet.
Snow Patrol — Winter is
coming! We have volunteer Snow Patrol captains for each day of the week
to shovel the sidewalks. If you are interested in helping by wielding a
snow shovel, spreading ice melt, or running the snow blower, please contact
Paula Cooper at pcooper@greenwichpres.org
or Paul Ruby at 703.753.1492. A short training session is being planned
to familiarize us with the snow blower.
Year End Contribution — Please note that we are requesting your final 2007 contributions be in
the office by Sunday, December 30, 2007. Contributions received after December 30
will be posted to the 2008 budget. Thank you!
