Celebration
of the Lord’s Supper –We will celebrate the
sacrament of the Lord’s Supper this Sunday at the 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00
services.
No
Jr. Church Sunday— Parents,
please note that there will be no Jr. Church this Sunday so that families can
share in the celebration of communion together. Jr. Church will
resume in the fall, after a summer break. Children will attend the worship
service with their parents. As a reminder, there are children’s bulletins
on the back table in the sanctuary for the children to use. We hope this
will be a time for our children to experience the entire worship service with
their family, learning how to use the pew bibles, the hymnal, giving to the
offering, praying and experiencing communion. Wee Church for children ages
2-preK will continue year round.
Women’s
Retreat —
We’re continuing to sign up ladies who would like to attend. If you’d like
to find out more, see our registration table in Fellowship
Hall.

Don’t
Forget to Sign In! — In order to
effectively serve our church family, the Deacons have been asked to develop a
plan to communicate with members who have been absent for several weeks.
We are asking you to remember to sign in the Friendship Register when you attend
services. A special reminder to Sunday school teachers, choir members and
staff — we want you to be counted too! If you’re absent for several
consecutive weeks, you will be contacted. We want you to know that in your
absence, you are missed!!

“Against
all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations,
just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body
was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb
was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief
regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory
to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do
what he had promised." Romans 4:18-21
