for Study, Service and Fellowship
Volunteer
Appreciation Celebration! — Join us for an Ice
Cream Social this Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00pm, as we celebrate all our great
volunteers. Join us in Fellowship Hall (or outside weather
permitting). Come and hear our special musical guests!
Youth
Confirmation Class —
On June 18-22, all youth (rising 6th grade and above) are invited to participate
in a confirmation class taught by Pastor Meeks. The class will begin at
10:00am and conclude with lunch each day. To register, please contact the

If you are interested in purchasing a cookbook ($15 each), please contact Susan

Parents
of Graduating Seniors — If you have a child
that is graduating from high school or college, we would like to recognize them
and celebrate their accomplishment on June 10th. Please contact the church

the Date —
A take out barbecue dinner to benefit Farthest Corners! Saturday, June
16th, from 4:30pm until the barbecue is gone. Join us for this special
treat for dad!
Second
Saturday Group —
Join us for an old fashioned barbecue/picnic on Saturday, June 9th, at
6:00pm. We’ll dine at the home of our hosts, Anne and
Women’s
Retreat —
We’re continuing to sign up ladies who would like to attend. If you’d like
to find out more, see our registration table in Fellowship
Hall.
Child
Protection Training Has Begun! — In an effort to
better protect our children, youth and church,

Sign Up Has Started! — Be sure to sign up
your family early, adults included. You won’t want to miss this Wild West
adventure to Avalanche Ranch.

Protection Training Dates — We will be offering
training on Thursday, June 7th, and Wednesday, June 13th, from 7:00 to
8:15pm.

Senior
High Youth and Families — Celebrate the
graduating seniors on Sunday, June 10th, at the church. We’ll gather at
4:00pm to visit and play games before dinner at 5:00pm. Meats and dessert
(cake) will be provided; please bring a side dish or salad to share. RSVP
by calling Mary Crigler at 703.368.0539 or Leslie McMillan at

Communion —
Communion for the month of June, will take place on Father’s Day, June 17th,
instead of this Sunday.

Mission Collection —
This month we are collecting for SERVE. Specific items needed are:
canned vegetables, mixed vegetables, toilet tissue, paper towels, and cleaning
products. As always, any other food or paper products will be
accepted.
Animal
Safari Music Camp—
All preschoolers (ages 3-5) are invited to join this summer music camp, June 4th
to 8th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The cost is $60.00 per child, with a
$10.00 registration fee per family. For more information, contact

Million Challenge to Fight Hunger. SERVE’s total donated cash and food
value came to $257,983.43!
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the Food Closet will have enough food available
to see our clients through the summer months. We could not have done this
