In conjunction with the Session’s recent Call to Prayer, you are invited to join with others in studying and praying some of the classic prayers of the Christian faith.  These enduring prayers have refreshed and guided countless Christians into a closer relationship with God.

The only preparation each week will be to prepare your heart to draw closer to God.  The only homework will be to make each prayer your own.

NURSERY ATTENDANT OPENING

 

We are looking for someone to join us in the nursery as we provide care to children during worship services and other church-related events in a manner that ensures child safety, comfort and ease. Care is provided to infants, toddlers and preschoolers on Sunday mornings and at other times during the week, as needed. 

 

Bring your own children to work with you, and earn extra income while they play with their friends.

Our youth are preparing Easter Baskets for those in our congregation who are not always able to make it to church services.  We will prepare 13 baskets.  If you would like to donate items for these baskets, you can drop them off in the church office before Saturday, March 31^st.

Greenwich Easter Egg Hunt — Join us on Saturday, March 31st, at 10:00am for our annual Easter egg hunt.  We welcome all children through 5th grade to bring their baskets, and join us for a morning of great fun and fellowship!

 

The Talent Show is Coming — So get your act together!  This years show will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 7:00pm.  The youth will be selling popcorn, candy and sodas (no meal).  If you’re interested in showing us your talent, please contact Beth Galbraith or Helen Taylor at 703.753.4099 or egalbraith@verizon.net.  The deadline to sign up is April 15th.

 

Preschool Registration — The preschool has begun registration for the 2007-2008 school year.  The preschool accepts three and four year olds.  Anyone interested, please contact Marian Rood at 703.754.7933.

 

Special Music —This Sunday we welcome Wayne Houk and Angela Knight to all three services.

 

Praise and Worship! — The youth group is creating a praise and worship band.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Chasity Spittle at youth@greenwichpres.org or 703.753.9421.

 

Youth Group Paintball — All Jr. and Sr. Highs are invited to join us for paintball on April 29th.  We’ll depart immediately following the 11:00 service.  If you need equipment you MUST contact Chasity Spittle before April 25th at youth@greenwichpres.org or 703.753.9421.

Faith Village Chorale — The Chorale will perform Palm Sunday, April 1st, at the 11:00am service.

 

VBS Kickoff Luncheon — This year the kids will be headed to Avalanche Ranch!  Join us for lunch on Sunday, March 25th, at 12:30pm to find out how you can help.  We need a decoration crew, dinner crew, crew leaders, ranch leaders, registration crew, drama crew, and more!  If you’d like to join us for lunch, please contact Joy Yates at 703-754-7933 or children@greenwichpres.org. 

 

Farthest Corners Dinner Benefit— Join us at the Inn at Vint Hill for a Thai Dinner to benefit Farthest Corners on Saturday, April 21st.  Tickets are $30 per person.  See Mike Simms, Chuck Boyd, Leslie McMillan, Charlie Coe, Lisa House, Becky Whitelock or Mike Lynn to purchase tickets.

 

Easter Lily Memorial — You can honor or remember someone special by placing an Easter Lily in the Sanctuary.  The cost is $12.  See insert for more information.

  

March Mission Collection —   March is Match Month for SERVE.  All groceries and monies will be matched.  The items that are especially needed are canned spaghetti sauce, macaroni and cheese, and cold cereal. 

 

Walk for Life — Jesus Loves The Children! That is the theme of this year’s Walk for Life to be held on Saturday, April 28th.  The money collected from Walk for Life will help Care Net Pregnancy Resource Centers continue to provide services to those in our communities experiencing unplanned pregnancies.  For a complete Walk Brochures, see the Friendship Register.
