In conjunction with the Session’s recent Call to Prayer, you are invited to join with others in studying and praying some of the classic prayers of the Christian faith.  These enduring prayers have refreshed and guided countless Christians into a closer relationship with God.

The only preparation each week will be to prepare your heart to draw closer to God.  The only homework will be to make each prayer your own.

All ages are welcome!  No need to register for the class.  Come as you are, come when you can.

Opportunities for Study, Service and Fellowship

 

Celebration of the Lord’s Supper –We will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper this Sunday at the 8:15 and 9:30 services.

 

Greenwich Easter Egg Hunt — Join us on Saturday, March 31st, at 10:00am for our annual Easter egg hunt.  We welcome all children through 5th grade to bring their baskets, and join us for a morning of great fun and fellowship!

 

Play Ball! — Spring Softball is coming.  The signup form is located on the bulletin board in the education building.  ALL are welcome, ages 15 and up.  Questions?  Contact Jesse Spittle at 703.753.9421.

 

Preschool Registration — The preschool has begun registration for the 2007-2008 school year.  The preschool accepts three and four year olds.  Anyone interested, please contact Marian Rood at 703.754.7933.

 

Mystery Dinner Theatre — Please join us for an exciting mystery dinner theatre here at Greenwich, Sunday, March 11, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.  This is a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation brought to you by the Greenwich Youth.  If planning to join us, please RSVP by March 7th to youth@greenwichpres.org.

 

Clarity — All Senior High’s are invited to join us for this event March 16th and 17th at McLean Bible Church.  We’ll meet at the church and carpool together.  Contact Chasity Spittle at youth@greenwichpres.org or 703-753-9421 if interested.

 

Women’s Retreat Planning Meeting — The next planning meeting for the Women’s Retreat is Sunday, March 18th, at 12:30pm.  All women (members and friends!) who plan on attending the retreat are invited to join us.  This years retreat will take place the last weekend in September.  All women ages 18-118 are invited!

 

Second Saturday — Come join us for a Fling into Spring on Saturday, March 10th at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall.  Our dinner theme will be French Bistro.  All are welcome!  Please RSVP to Pat Eggers at 540.347.2727.

 

Special Music This Sunday!  — Please join us in welcoming Dr. Kevin Vigil who will play the classical guitar at the 8:15 and 11:00 services.

Girl Scout Sunday — Sunday, March 11th is designated Girl Scout Sunday.  All Girl Scouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms on this day of recognition.

Who is Our Snow Angel?  — A big THANK YOU to the person who cleared the snow off ALL the cars in the parking lot last Sunday!

 

2007 Summer Camp at Meadowkirk — Be a part of the first full summer of camp at Meadowkirk!  Programs are offered for rising grades 3-12.  There are also excellent opportunities for high school graduates aged 18 and up to serve on Meadowkirk’s staff.  For more information see the insert or go to www.meadowkirk.org.

 

CareNet Pregnancy Center — CareNet is having an open house on March 11th from 2:30 to 4:30pm.  You are invited to stop by and tour any of their three centers (Manassas, Warrenton and Woodbridge) and learn about their programs.

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes — The Prince William Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes is hosting its annual fundraising banquet at Hylton Chapel in Woodbridge on March 27th at 6:00pm.  The speaker will be former Denver Bronco and current National Spokesman for FCA’s One Way to Play Program, Steve Fitzhugh.  There is no cost for tickets, but reservations are required.  For information visit www.princewilliamfca.org or call 703.505.7705.

 

Nokesville Day 2007 — This years Nokesville Day will take place on May 19, 2007.  The event attracts 2,000 to 3,000 people each year, and is the largest fundraiser for the Nokesville Ruritan Club, which raises and gives away thousands to community service groups.  We’re looking for crafters and parade participants.  Vendor space is $45.  Parade entry is free.  Interested vendors contact Gail Williams at 703.594.2669 or gailwilliams1@verizon.net.  For parade information contact John Kelly at 703.791.5634
