“Network” Spiritual Gifts Class

 

We invite you to begin the discovery process by learning about the unique way God has blessed each one of us with the gifts of the Spirit.   This four-week class explores the material used last September in our Faith-in-Life weekend.

 

Join us in the Church Library

There are a number of current or upcoming opportunities to serve at Greenwich.  We invite you to prayerfully consider the following “hot list” of opportunities and to contact Paula Cooper, our Volunteer Ministry Coordinator, if you have an interest in one of these areas (volunteers@greenwichpres.org or 703-754-7933)

 

 

Spring Work Day

Come help beautify our church grounds

(March 24, 8:00am to 12:00pm)

 

Mission Partner Liaison

One person to serve as contact for FISH

 

Flower Ministry

Deliver sanctuary flowers after Sunday services

 

Summer Sunday School

Serve four Sundays this summer as leader or assistant with our children’s Sunday School.  Curriculum provided.

 

Vacation Bible School

Leaders, Assistants, Crafters, etc.

(June 25 – June 29, evenings)

 

Children’s Choir, Adult Vocal Assistant

One adult to assist with Faith Village Chorale

(Sundays, 9:00 to 9:30am)

 

Visitation Team

Assist Deacons with home visitation and calling ministry

 

Transportation Team

Assist with rides and errands for church family members

 

Meal Ministry

Assist with occasional church dinners or

prepare and deliver meals to church family members

 

Ushers/Greeters

Periodically assist on Sundays with bulletin distribution, seating, and offering collection

 

Gardening Team Leader

Organize volunteers to help keep the gardens and grounds

 

Nursery Care

Assist on Sundays with infants thru preschoolers

Opportunities for Study, Service and Fellowship

 

Play Ball! — Spring Softball is coming.  The signup form is located on the bulletin board in the education building.  ALL are welcome, ages 15 and up.  Questions?  Contact Jesse Spittle at 703.753.9421.

 

Preschool Registration — The preschool has begun registration for the 2007-2008 school year.  The preschool accepts three and four year olds.  Anyone interested, please contact Marian Rood at 703.754.7933.

 

Mystery Dinner Theatre — Please join us for an exciting mystery dinner theatre here at Greenwich, Sunday, March 11, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.  This is a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation brought to you by the Greenwich Youth.  If planning to join us, please RSVP by March 1st to youth@greenwichpres.org.

 

Clarity — All Senior High’s are invited to join us for this event!  It takes place March 16th and 17th at McLean Bible Church.  We’ll meet at the church and carpool together.  Contact Chasity Spittle at youth@greenwichpres.org or 703-753-9421 if interested.

 

Women’s Retreat Planning Meeting — The next planning meeting for the Women’s Retreat is Sunday, March 18th, at 12:30pm.  All women (members and friends!) who plan on attending the retreat are invited to join us.  This years retreat will take place the last weekend in September.  All women ages 18-118 are invited!

 

Greenwich Easter Egg Hunt — Join us on Saturday, March 31st, at 10:00am for our annual Easter egg hunt.  Stay tuned for more details!

 

Second Saturday — Come join us for a Fling into Spring on Saturday, March 10th at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall.  Our dinner theme will be French Bistro.  All are welcome!  Please RSVP to Pat Eggers at 540.347.2727.

 

2007 Summer Camp at Meadowkirk — Be a part of the first full summer of camp at Meadowkirk!  Programs are offered for rising grades 3-12.  There are also excellent opportunities for high school graduates aged 18 and up to serve on Meadowkirk’s staff.  For more information see the insert or go to www.meadowkirk.org.

 

Nokesville Day 2007 — This years Nokesville Day will take place on May 19, 2007.  The event attracts 2,000 to 3,000 people each year, and is the largest fundraiser for the Nokesville Ruritan Club, which raises and gives away thousands to community service groups.  We’re looking for crafters and parade participants.  Vendor space is $45.  Parade entry is free.  Interested vendors contact Gail Williams at 703.594.2669 or gailwilliams1@verizon.net.  For parade information contact John Kelly at 703.791.5634 or jmkelly145@comcast.net.
