Opportunities
for Study, Service and Fellowship
Junior
High Caroling — Please join
us this Sunday at 2:00pm as we go Christmas Caroling! Meet at
Bonfire
at the Boyd’s — You are
cordially invited to the Boyd’s home this Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00pm for
caroling around the bonfire. There will be hot cider, hot chocolate and
cookies. Wear comfortable clothing for whatever the weather may be, and
comfortable shoes. There’s a little hike (about 200 feet) on a rocky
path. If you need more information, call Chuck or Susan at
703.754.2846.
Faith
Village Chorale — We will
rehearse our Christmas program following the 11:00 service this Sunday, and on
Saturday, December 23rd from 10:00 to 11:00am. Pizza will be served
today.
Open
House at the Meeks’ —
The whole church family is invited! Sunday, December 17th from 2:00 to
5:00pm. Come when you can and leave when you must.
Youth
Group at the Meeks’ —
Youth will meet at the Meeks’ home on Sunday, December 17th from 6:00 to
8:00pm. Bring a small wrapped gift for our white elephant
exchange!
Christmas
Concert and Breakfast Next Week —
Chancel Choir will perform their Christmas program during both the 8:30 (not
8:15) and 11:00 services on Sunday, December 17th. They will be
accompanied by a string quartet and harpsichord at both services. There
will be no 9:30 service or Sunday School this day so that we can gather for an
All Church Breakfast Potluck. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite
breakfast “dish” to share during this time of morning
fellowship.
Birthday
Party for Jesus — Please join
us in Fellowship Hall after the 5:30pm service on Christmas Eve as we celebrate
the birthday of Christ. You can bring donations of baby gifts, i.e.,
clothing, diapers, etc. These will be given to CareNet.
Salvation
Army Toyland— If you would
like to help with Angel Tree opportunities, we could use your help on December
11th-15th (checking gift bag contents to make sure all children receive gifts)
and 18th-21st (distribute gifts and stockings to families). We car
pool. Please call Nancy Pittman at 703.743.5314 if you can help.
There is information on the bulletin board and table in Fellowship
Hall.
Youth
Bible Study — Our Thursday
night bible study will be on vacation for the next few weeks. We’ll start
up again on January 4th.
Welcome!!— We are pleased to

Greenwich
Note Cards — Need a great gift
for a family member, friend or teacher? Come see the beautiful new note
cards being sold by the Greenwich Presbyterian Women to benefit their
Missions! There are 12 in a packet and cost $10 (black and white) or $15
(color). The cards are in Fellowship Hall. Checks should be made
payable to “GPW.”
Calling
All Cooks! — Circle 4 is putting
together a new cookbook and we need your recipes. Please put your recipes
in the basket across from the office door. You can also email your recipe
to Susan Boyd at boydplum@msn.com. The
deadline for recipes is December 15th.
Prayer
Chain —We have a new email
address for prayer chain requests. If you have a prayer request for our
prayer team, please email

Snow
Patrol — Winter is
coming! We have volunteer Snow Patrol captains for each day of the week to
shovel the sidewalks. If you are interested in helping by wielding a snow
shovel, spreading ice melt, or running the snow blower, please contact Paula
