Sunday Worship Services

at 8:15 and 11:00am.

(No 9:30am Service in August, regular schedule resumes in September)

During the 9:30am hour, we encourage participation in the Adult & Children’s Sunday School programs.

Fall Sunday School Begins Sunday, September 10th at 9:30 am! We are having a kick-off to the new school year and we invite all children to join us to meet their new teachers and shepherds, visit the classrooms, participate in some fun activities and praise the Lord with new music!  Children in Faith Village Sunday School (Grades K-6) will begin each Sunday in the Gathering Room (choir room) and will then be lead to their workshop for the morning.  Parents are reminded that they will need to pick up their children at 10:30 am at their child's classroom each Sunday.  Questions? Contact Joy Yates, Director of Children’s Ministry at joyyates@greenwichpres.org or 703.754.7933.

Junior Church resumes next Sunday, September 3rd during the 11:00 Worship Service.  Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade have the opportunity to gather with adult leaders, following the Children’s Sermon in the Sanctuary.  This is a great time for the children to worship together in a service geared for them!  Join us as we worship the Lord through scripture reading, song, stories, and prayer!  Wee Church continues for preschoolers during the same time, downstairs in the Sunday School building.

Infant Nursery—We now have a dedicated infant nursery!  In an effort to better serve our church family, we have created permanent infant space in the nursery.  Come visit the kids downstairs, and see how we’re changing.

Pictorial Directory - Today and next Sunday, September 3rd, in Fellowship Hall from 9:30am-11:00am.  Jim Pittman is available to update your photo, or to take one if you have not had one taken.  The picture is digital, and Jim is very quick!

Plant-A-Row for the Hungry pick-up will be every Sunday from July 23rd until  October 1st.  The bin will be located in front of the Church, look for the sign.  The Mission Committee thanks you for your support of Plant-A-Row and SERVE.

Wednesday Night Pastor’s Class—Beginning soon! Wednesday’s from 6:30 to 7:30pm in Fellowship Hall. Open to all interested in learning more about the Bible. Childcare provided. For more information, please contact Don Meeks at dmeeks@greenwichpres.org or 703.754.7933.

Love Your Neighbor — The Worship Committee respectfully requests that members limit the use of personal fragrances when attending church, out of consideration for those  who are highly allergic.  We thank you in advance for this effort.

Opportunity to Help—The Preschool is looking for temporary workers to assist in the first few weeks of Preschool. Our Open House is Sep. 11 (MWF Classes) and Sep. 12 (T TH classes), and classes begin Sep. 13.  Our classes are MWF – 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm and T TH 9am-12pm. If you enjoy working with 3 and 4 year olds, please contact Marian Rood at 540.349.0401 to discuss opportunities and options. Hours will be paid.

There's a place for YOU in the Chancel Choir!  We welcome new members into the Chancel Choir this Fall.  We rehearse from 7:30-8:30pm on Wednesday evenings and sing at the 11:00 service.  Rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 6th, in the sanctuary.  This year, we're having a choir retreat to begin rehearsing Christmas music.  The retreat will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, from 8:00am to 4:00pm at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, VA.  Come join the choir!

*****Thank you Greenwich for your marvelous generosity to the Pediatric Wing at Fauquier Hospital in conjunction with our recent Christmas in July service!*****

“We are absolutely thrilled with the outreach from your parish. I was shocked when I went in and saw the table filled with so many boxes of gifts. We have already divided up the items and have made a number of VIPeds (Very Important Pediatric) backpacks for the children that come to Fauquier Hospital. The items were perfect (exactly what we asked for) and will be very useful for our pediatric patients and families. I think that the amount of supplies that were provided should last us for 6-8 months. I truly want to let you know how much we appreciate this type of caring to our very young population. We certainly feel very Blessed right now; thank-you for helping make our children's stay just a little brighter."  Carla Adams.
