Volunteer
Ministry Coordinator Position Created by Session!

In response to
recent congregational input, there is a new part time staff position opening
(10 hrs/wk) and will serve as the ‘point person’ for helping members and
friends of the church find a place of active service within the many
ministries that depend upon volunteers.
-
Responsibilities for
this position include maintaining and publicizing a current list of volunteer
opportunities, establishing a system of training volunteers, and connecting
volunteers with ministry opportunities.

SHOUTfest! At the PWC
Fair, Tuesday August 15th. Gates open at 1:30pm, Bands start at
2pm. Cost is $7 (includes fair admission & concert). We
will be meeting at the church at 1pm for carpooling. Please contact

Plant-A-Row
for the Hungry pick-up will be every Sunday
from 23 July until 1 October, The bin will be located in front of the
Church, look for the sign. The Mission Committee thanks you for your

Children’s
Ministry Team-We are delighted to
have a great team of volunteers who are part of our Childrens Ministry
Team. Many thanks to all who have volunteered, and for their willingness

6th-8th graders join us on Sunday mornings for the ever
popular Veggie Tales. This week we will be “studying” Daniel in the lions Den,
better known as “Where is God when I am scared?”

Ministry Team Forming - A
team is forming to record and duplicate GPC’s Sunday services and other special
events. Activities would include microphone set-up, recording and
duplication of the weekly services. No experience required – just a
willingness to serve on a rotational basis. Training will be
provided. If interested, please email Mark Beran at markinvideo@adelphia.net or call him
at 540-347-5359. Please respond by August 21st. Shortly after the
21st, an informational meeting will be held to discuss the
details.
