Wednesday Night Pastor’s Class to Begin in January—Interested in learning more about the Bible? If so, you may want to join the Wednesday night Pastor’s bible class beginning January 18, 2006. The class is open to all ages and will be held Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the church Fellowship Hall. Childcare will be available, at no charge. The class will last one hour and consist of lecture and discussion. The purpose of the class is twofold: to increase our understanding of God’s Word so that we can live more faithfully as followers of Jesus Christ, and to provide a way to get to know other members and friends of the Greenwich church family. The first topic of study will be an overview of the whole bible, including the major sections and themes of both the Old and New Testaments. Class participants will be encouraged to read the book 30 Days to Understanding the Bible by Max Anders as a supplement to the class. Don will have copies of the book for purchase ($11.55) at the first class on Wednesday, January 18. For more information, or to reserve a copy of 30 Days to Understanding the Bible, please contact Don at gpcdonmeeks@comcast.net or 703-754-7933. [NOTE: There are currently no plans for dinner before the study. If someone is interested in organizing a weekly dinner please contact Don!]
Epiphany Service January 6 - You are invited to mark the end of the Christmas season by joining on Friday, January 6, for an Epiphany service. We will gather at 7pm in the sanctuary for a time of worship followed by refreshments in Fellowship Hall. Epiphany celebrates the revealing of the Savior to the Gentiles as the wise men visited the Christ-child.
