The next couple of Sundays are very important for the future (immediate and long term) of GPC Youth Ministries. I hope you will make every effort to be involved in these planning sessions. I apologize that you are just now receiving this email. We have had some problems with the internet at the church this week and this email has been particularly difficult to send.
Youth and Parent Spring Planning:
Please come for a lite lunch this Sunday, December 4 at 12:15 p.m followed by a short meeting to plan the youth group’s spring activities and ministries. Parent involvement will be crucial in this winter and early spring due to maternity leave. It is my hope that each family can take responsibility for one youth group activity in the coming month, so please think about what kind of activity you and your family might like to plan/host. We will aim to have a variety of activities in four categories including fun & fellowship, mission & outreach, prayer & worship, as well as topical study & conversation. We will be planning separate Jr. and Sr. High activities and some combined. PLEASE REPLY to this email and let me know if you will be able to attend or not, so I have some idea how many folks to expect. I welcome your input even if you aren’t able to meet with us on Sunday.
Ministry Planning Committee:
Meeting with Youth Parents—Parents of all 6-12th grade and beyond youth are invited (and encouraged) to meet with the Ministry Planning Committee to discuss the values, goals and hopes for Greenwich and its Youth Ministries in the coming years. The Ministry Planning Committee is in the process of meeting with all the various groups and organizations within Greenwich. I hope you can come this Sunday, December 4 at 9:30 a.m. downstairs and give your input about the past and the future.
Meeting with Youth—All youth are invited to give their input into this same process the following Sunday, December 11 at 9:30 a.m. in lieu of Sunday school. It is a great chance to help shape the future of GPC and its youth ministries.
